No.1 The Hallway of City No.1
Using 3D scanning technology to preserve real urban images whiles surveying the intermediate zones connecting buildings and the city to create a hallway of time informed by characteristics of the place, the present time and the memories of the streets. Due to changes occurring in the city’s street blocks, the society has been constantly changing, immersing both groups and individuals in a rapidly changing network. The work uses the architecture of MOCA Taipei as an indicator and looks at the urban transformation that has taken place in the surrounding street blocks. Through gathering and constructing the appearances of contemporary street blocks, this work reverses how the city looks and architecturally converts it into an enormous social space. The collective network merges with extending paths, just like the connection and co-construction created by architectural hallways.
